CHAMANES & CANGREJOS is the art exhibition where Gabo Peña and Mauro Rojas show their creations at the Galería Blanca of Plaza Guayarte
We have the opportunity to produce the art exhibition Chamanes y Cangrejos, thanks to the people of the Galería Blanca in Plaza Guayarte, event that is currently active until February 16. This exhibition has been prepared to show the work of creators Gabo Peña and Mauro Rojas, integrating digital art, traditional art, clothing and editorial products.
Gabo Peña, an urban artist well known on the national scene for the crabs that he has left printed on murals of lots of streets in Guayaquil, is very connected to the natural heritage and popular art thanks to the mythical crab, a crustacean that has acquired a symbolic importance for the local popular culture.
Mauro Rojas is present with his sketchbooks collection, digital art, and collage painting; and Gabo Peña exhibits his famous crabs' paintings and original t-shirts.

Mauro Rojas, Founder and CEO of Eonminu®, and head of this initiative, integrates the digital shamans that stand out in his collection of limited edition artistic sketchbooks.
Archaeological heritage, graphic abstraction and digital art gain importance in Mauro Rojas' art, who invited Gabo Peña to be part of this event to enrich the visual proposal and deliver valuable work to the Guayaquilean public, inspired by our Ecuadorian cultural legacy.
Gabo Peña and Mauro Rojas find high value by taking advantage of the Ecuadorian heritage legacy, which they both enrich through the uniqueness of their artistic styles.
Francisco García, designer and graphic artist, take a moment to visit the exhibition and purchased one of the sketchbooks from Mauro Rojas' collection.
The CHAMANES & CANGREJOS exhibition has been very well received during its first nine days, with a series of visits not only from the public that usually attends Plaza Guayarte, but also from foreign tourists.
During two weeks of open exhibition, CHAMANES & CANGREJOS has also received the visit of other local and national creators: designers, artists and journalists, sharing fun moments, talking about diverse anecdotes, and acquiring illustrations, t-shirts, sketchbooks, and paintings.
Special mention deserves the Guayaquilean families who attend the exhibition not only to provide a different option for their children, but also to learn about the artists' careers and the history behind their creations.
