Archaeological Rescue Program
Visual identity and promotional materials for the Programa de Rescate Archeológico of the PMB
Archaeologist Amelia Sánchez commissioned Eonminu® the visual identity and communication products for the Archaeological Rescue Program of the Proyecto Multipropósito Baba - PMB.
The concept of STAMP was applied to build the visual identity, as a symbol of a memory device that circulates through time at each point in history, to mark a journey through the archaeological evidence that is allowed to be discovered.
The volume of informative content that is generally obtained in this type of research would cause tedium due to the length of information, for this reason, Mauro Rojas refreshed the scientific information, adapting the entire archaeological report in the graphic development proposed.
The tables were created to contribute to the fresh reading of the extensive scientific information generated by the team of Amelia Sánchez
The purely scientific components were successfully integrated into the visual nature of this graphic development, such as the design of tables and specialized reports, which was the complement that definitively highlighted the solidity of the results.
Illustration paved the way for the integration of stories, adding brief reviews that were included in postcards, allowing the project to scale up to the scope of the comprehensive dissemination of scientific information, by having playful instruments that brought the results closer to broader audiences.
The creative openness caused the integration of illustration, using traditional and digital techniques.
Mauro Rojas created the floating tree illustration, the masterpiece included in the Programa de Rescate Arqueológico, that serves as a centerpiece for the creation of promotional material.
The postcard concept helped to highlight the historical beauty of the archaeological objects found in the excavation, combining them with popular graphic inspiration. The promotional material gives freshness to the results of scientific research, aimed at promotion, using the series of illustrations created to design the promotional t-shirts.
The illustrations were used on t-shirts and postcards to disseminate the results of the Archaeological Research Program to different audiences
Without a doubt, this case nourishes, in a particular and authentic way, a scientific process that is not always attended to through visual communication, with an experimental nuance to obtain results that highlight its strengths.
The results obtained clearly demonstrate that communication design adds value to all types of projects, and addressing processes like this in a satisfactory manner, contributes with differentiation to scientific projects that have significance for the development of American society.
