Character Creation Workshop at the Nahim Isaías Museum

'Creating a character from the reuse of materials' is the workshop given by Mauro Rojas at the Nahim Isaías Museum, in Guayaquil.


Mauro Rojas, Founder and CEO of Eonminu®, of gave the workshop Creating a character from the reuse of materials with a very enthusiastic audience that attended the event at the Nahim Isaías Museum in Guayaquil, event integrated with exhibitions and rural interventions under the production of Eonminu®.

The participants were asked to bring to the workshop any material to be used as a base to shape the character. In the session, they were received with other materials, such as fabrics, cardboard, plasticine and water paint, made available to free will.

The atendees of this workshop created very interesting pieces in terms of composition and use of elements.

The moment of creative exchange was full of dynamism and high energy, thanks to that spirit the imaginative possibilities were very within the reach of all attendees, creating what they longed for with great ease.

The workshop brought together participants of diverse ages and experiences.

The creative dynamic consisted of giving energetic form to a story starring a character, focusing on the conceptual aspect for symbolic development and then assigning a name to the persona, and the participants were open to having fun while building their character.

With this first creative level, the attendees proceeded to develop their first sketches, giving first life to all the ideas generated by them in the conceptual creativity session before chosing materials.

The sample of creations had a lot of symbolic richness, both in the expression of shapes and in the use of color: minimalist characters, more elaborate characters, and booklets with props were the successful result.
